The Fishing screen in the evening.
Idle vs. Anti-idle
Foods for Pet (Game's Best)
Fishing is a timing game to fetch fish, pet food, junk items and treasure boxes. Mostly junk items.
How it works
Every few seconds (depending on fatigue) a yellow triangle appears at the bottom of the screen. Press any key when the triangle enters the highlighted zone in the middle to catch a fish. If the triangle aligns with the bar exactly in the middle, you get a perfect catch, which give less fatigue, more EXP, and more mastery.
If you leave the fishing screen idle, then there is a small (about 30%) chance that you catch the fish once it reaches the end of the bar. This makes the fishing feature usable, albeit at a slower pace, when idling.
Skill, Mastery and Upgrade Costs (YC)
"When you skill up, things will appear more frequently and you have a chance to catch higher level fish / junk items." - Tukkun
As your skill increases, the red line will also remain longer, until you reach a streak approximately half your skill level.
Every time you catch something, you gain fishing mastery. When it reaches the maximum, you can pay some yellow coins to level up. Before you do that, your mastery stays at max and you don't get any mastery. Each level increases average quality and the rate you catch fish (~3%).
Fatigue prevents the fishing feature from being overused. It increases a little bit (between 10-40, depending on item caught) every time you catch something. Perfect catches halve the fatigue gained from catching something. Fatigue causes items to appear less frequently, up to 5000, at which point you cannot fish. Fatigue gradually decreases over time, and goes to zero at the end of the day. You can decrease fatigue by drinking energy drinks or eating fish.
Every time you catch something, you gain score. Score depends on your mastery level, and how close you are to the red bar. Perfect catches give more score, and your also score increases by 0.1 of the base multiplied by your current streak. You can gain extra bonuses for reaching a certain milestone (daily / lifetime).
Daily milestone rewards are not always the same, and with reasonable Fishing Mastery (~10-15) and modest skill for Perfect Catches, the Daily 500,000 milestone can be reached in a matter of minutes. The Daily 2,500,000 milestone is also readily achievable (though it takes a little longer), and also has the benefit of being the B-level requirement of the Daily Fishing quest.

Lifetime milestones are awarded when your Total score reaches certain value. First milestone is at 1,000,000 score. Next milestone is always 1,000,000 score after previous one, up to 10th milestone at 10,000,000 score. Score difference between two milestones changes to 2,500,000 then and remains the same until 46th milestone at 100,000,000 score. Then the difference grows again to 5,000,000 score and lasts until 226th milestone at 1,000,000,000 score. At this point Rainbow Fishing Rod is unlocked and all further milestones are 10,000,000 score apart.
Rewards from lifetime milestones are similar to the daily ones but there is no randomness included.
Each milestone gives 200 + (milestone number)*25 bonus mastery with maximum of 9001 reached at 353rd milestone (2,270,000,000 score)
There are 10 possible types of item rewards which appear in following order: Regular Energy Drink; Bronze Key; Regular Pet Food; Bronze Treasure Box; Silver Key; Silver Treasure Box; Elite Energy Drink; Golden Key; Elite Pet Food; Golden Treasure Box; Regular Energy Drink; Bronze Key; ...
Amount of items increases when you reach more milestones. 1x reward at beginning; 2x reward since 11th milestone (12,500,000 score); 3x reward since 31st milestone (62,500,000 score); 4x reward since 91st milestone (325,000,000 score); 5x reward since 271st milestone (1,450,000,000 score).
3 base types of items can be caught: junk, fish and special items. Special Items start coming in after certain perfect streak. Some items also require certain Fishing Skill or perfect catch.

|Explosion crate requires perfect streak of 2 with Elite Fisher Card active, 5 otherwise. Elite Fisher Card also adds extra 2% chance to catch Mystery Boxes instead of junk/fish.|
You can't catch these items when idling (e.g. reach required streak and go idle). Chances don't take special effects of different rods into account and are also correct for Simulation Cyborg.
Bucket Capacity Upgrades
You can upgrade your bucket with Yellow Coins to hold more Items/Fish/Junk. When your bucket is full you will no longer catch anything. There is a Main Quest for upgrading the bucket capacity to 17.500.
The bucket starts at 2,500 capacity. Every upgrade increases the bucket capacity by 2,500 up to 100,000.
|Bucket Capacity||Cost to Upgrade in Coins|
You can catch fish while idling by doing nothing. You have a base chance of 30% to catch fish when idling, which can be increased by the following modifiers:
- Every Fishing Skill level above the fish / junk items level adds 3% chance.
- Every Fishing Skill level below the fish / junk items level subtracts 3% chance.
- If your Fisher Career is level 100 or above, this chance is increased by 10%.
- If you are using the Idler's Fishing Rod, this chance is increased by 20%.
- Permanent perk #16 increases this chance by 10% at level 1, 15% at level 2 and 25% at level 3.
This means that if you are using Idler's Fishing Rod and your Fishing Career is 100 or above, you can reach 100% chance while idling depending on your skill level and Permanent perk #16 level. More specifically, you need
- At least 44 Fishing skill, if you have Permanent perk #16 at level 0.
- At least 34 Fishing skill, if you have Permanent perk #16 at level 1.
- At least 29 Fishing skill, if you have Permanent perk #16 at level 2.
- At least 19 Fishing skill, if you have Permanent perk #16 at level 3.
You can also stop using the Idler's Fishing Rod and still keep 100% chance with the following levels (again, assuming Fishing Career is 100):
- At least 50 Fishing skill, if you have Permanent perk #16 at level 0.
- At least 40 Fishing skill, if you have Permanent perk #16 at level 1.
- At least 35 Fishing skill, if you have Permanent perk #16 at level 2.
- At least 30 Fishing skill, if you have Permanent perk #16 at level 3.
Since v1642, you can increase your fishing skill past 30. Each fishing skill past 30 still increases fish frequency and chance to catch better items as usual, but also gives a lot of additional EXP. You will receive 35% bonus EXP at Skill 31, +5% more bonus EXP for each Skill, for a maximum of 130% bonus EXP at Skill 50.
Fishing skills above 30 no longer cost gold to upgrade and upgrade automatically once you reach the required mastery. Skill 31 requires 100,000 mastery, the requirement goes up by 10,000 up to 250,000 at skill 41. Each skill above 41 requires 25,000 more than previous, up to 475,000 mastery required for Skill 50. But be sure to fish frequently to keep your LEGEND status, as your fishing skill will drop by 1 every day if your fishing skill is more than 30.
Once you hit level 50 you will no longer lose your fishing skill each day. You will continue to gain mastery and be eligible for the fishing promotional exam to increase your fishing level further to level 60. The exam costs 250,000,000 Green Coins and 1,000,000 mastery to attempt. Your mastery does not reset on skill up. The exam consists of getting a certain perfect streak and a certain number of perfect catches total to pass. You fail the exam when you get 10 non perfect catches. You enter the exam with the Guardian Rod at 2 charges at your current level of fatigue. Fatigue does not increase during the exam and you gain bonus EXP. You can attempt the exam as many times as you wish. You can decrease the requirements by paying 500,000 Blue Coins and 2,000,000 Mastery. The lowest you can reduce the exam is a streak of 3 and 20 total perfects.
Upon reaching level 60 the promotional exam becomes a survival mode where it will count your highest streak and number of perfects. This is not saved through attempts.
