Bonus Rocks are Enhancers that add special bonuses to equipment. Each piece of equipment can have up to three different bonuses: one green bonus, one orange bonus and one purple bonus. How much the bonus adds depends on the tier of the item (see below).

Just like other equipment, the bonuses of Bonus Rocks can be changed in the Machine in the Abandoned Lab.

Equipment Tiers

The tier of an equipment depends on its rank and unobtainium enhancement, and is the reason why unobtainium enhancements on an item are so important. It is calculated with the formula:

Tier=Rank/10 + unobtainium enhancement (rounded up)

The effect of a bonus is proportional to the tier in the case of green and orange bonuses, and to the square of the tier in the case of purple bonuses. This makes tiers extremely strong. If in doubt which armor is better, choose the one with higher tier.

List of Bonuses and Effects

Note: All stats from bonuses on an item get rounded up to the nearest integer.

Green Bonuses
Bonus Per Tier Note
EXP 0.5% Increases Experience gain rate. (Affects both Battle Arena experience and AI:TG experience.) You almost always want this green bonus, since most of the time your objective is to rank/level up fast.
Coin 1% Increases Yellow Coins earned from Battle Arena. (Affects Yellow Coin drops and Yellow Coins earned from autosteal.)
Pixel 1% Increases Pixels and Crafting Material earned from Battle Arena. (Affects Pixel drops and Pixels earned from autosteal. Does not affect pixels earned from ignore bonuses.)
Reward 0.25%/0.5%/0.5% Earn extra Experience (0.25%), Pixel(0.5%) and Coins(0.5%). While more efficient than combining EXP, Coin and Pixel green bonuses, you are almost always going for only one of those, so this bonus is useless.
Spawn Rate 0.2% Increases your Spawn Rate. 0.2% is not much, so it's generally easier to get this stat from set bonuses and invisible allies. Get this as a green bonus if you're idling and (spawn rate)*5 is lower than (experience bonus)*2 in your stat screen.
Drop Rate 1% Increases your Drop Rate. Useful when trying to get a certain drop, chip hunting and mining.
Rare Monster Rate 1% Increases your Rare Monster Rate.
Epic Monster Rate 2.5% Increases your Epic Monster Rate. Great for chip hunting.
Light Element 1% Increases damage done to dark enemies and decreases damage taken from dark enemies.
Dark Element 1% Increases damage done to light enemies and decreases damage taken from light enemies.
Fire Element 1% Increases damage done to ice enemies and decreases damage taken from ice enemies.
Ice Element 1% Increases damage done to wind enemies and decreases damage taken from wind enemies.
Wind Element 1% Increases damage done to earth enemies and decreases damage taken from earth enemies.
Earth Element 1% Increases damage done to thunder enemies and decreases damage taken from thunder enemies.
Thunder Element 1% Increases damage done to water enemies and decreases damage taken from water enemies.
Water Element 1% Increases damage done to fire enemies and decreases damage taken from fire enemies.
Ignore Epic Weapons 50000 pixels Converts Epic Weapon drops (epic element staves, light glaives and dark glaives) into pixels.
Ignore Bonus Rocks 5000 pixels Converts Bonus Rock drops into pixels. Does not work with [S], [I] or [S] [I] Bonus Rocks.
Ignore Pendants 5000 pixels Converts Pendant drops into pixels. Does not work with Immortal Pendant, Collector's Pendant and Rank 500 pendants.
Ignore Finalizers 25000 pixels Converts Finalizer drops into pixels.
Ignore Outfit Items 25000 pixels Converts outfit drops (Transparent Earrings, Yellow Skin and Invisible Skin) into pixels.
Auto Buff - Power Grants a permanent Power Buff. Auto Buff Gem only.
Auto Buff - Master Grants a permanent Master Buff. Auto Buff Gem only.
Auto Buff - Reward Grants a permanent Reward Buff. Auto Buff Gem only.
Auto Buff - Enrage Grants a permanent Enrage Buff. Auto Buff Gem only.
Auto Buff - Boost Grants a permanent Boost Buff. Auto Buff Gem only.
Weapon-only Orange Bonuses
Bonus Per Tier Note
Rage Attack 1.5% Increase Damage based on Rage%. Great if you have a way to maintain Rage high.
Boss Damage 2% Increases Damage to Bosses.
Non-Boss Damage 2% Increases Damage to non-Bosses. Useful in Dark Pyramid and Spooky Crypt.
Damage 1%/1% Increases Boss (1% per tier) and Non-Boss (1% per tier) Damage. Non-Bosses are usually very easy to kill compared to Bosses, so this bonus sucks. Get Boss Damage instead.
Nullify Death Penalty 100% chance to nullify death penalty, regardless of tier. Useful when your weapon's tiers are so low you get more losing a Weapon Bonus than a Ring, like during the first Special Arena entries of a rebirth.
Buff Effect 0.5% Increases Buff Effect. Can be useful, for example when chip hunting with Loot Magnet.
Extra Combo 1% Increases chance to gain 3 extra combo. Extremely situational, but can have its uses.
Weaken Effect 0.5% Increases Effect of Weaken. Also situational, but can make Bosses with high defense easier.
Blind Effect 0.5% Increases Effect of Blind. Might have very situational uses like Weaken Effect, but this bonus is generally useless.
Poison Damage 25.00% Increases Effect of Poison. Useless.
Max Spirit 10 Increases Max Spirit. While this will increase your damage when close to Max Spirit, you will get a higher damage increase with Rage Attack or (Non-)Boss Damage.
Potion Efficiency 5% Increases Potion Efficiency. Potion Efficiency makes Power, Master and Reward Buffs last longer and makes Health and Mana potions more effective.
Double Hit Chance 1% Increases double hit chance. Don't use this, sacrifice armor oranges for Attack Speed if you really have to.
Rage Speed 2% Increases weapon attack speed based on Rage%. Don't use this, sacrifice armor oranges for Attack Speed if you really have to.
Negate Effect 1% Increases chance to negate debuffs.
Magic Resist 1% Increases Magic Resist. Useless.
Instant Kill 0.5% Increases Instant Kill chance. Useless, as you can get this as high as 50% from a skill.
Magic Reflect 3% Increases Magic Reflect. Useless.
Poison Duration 1 second Increases duration of poison debuff on the enemy. Useless.
Blind Duration 1 second Increases duration of blind debuff on the enemy. Useless.
Weaken Duration 1 second Increases duration of weaken debuff on the enemy. Useless.
All Elements 0.5% Bonus to all elements. There's way better orange Bonuses to increase damage.
Orange Bonuses
Bonus Per Tier Note
Attack 1% Increases your Attack Power. Arguably the best orange bonus for armor and accessories. If in doubt, use this.
Mastery 1% Typically an armor set will have at least one of these bonuses, to hit 95% mastery with skills and not rely on a Master Potion.
MP 3% Increases Max MP. Great with purple MP bonuses and Mana Power.
Rage Depletion -1.00 Decreases Rage Depletion rate. If you don't have a Rage Module, use this in conjunction with the Rage Mastery Skill and Robacon to keep Rage maxed while idling.
Autosteal 1 Increases Autosteal level. As the only orange bonus that increases reward from the enemy, it has its uses.
Accuracy 1.5% Sometimes you need this and purple Accuracy bonuses to hit 95% critical chance in Apocalypse. Or to generally hit mobs in Apocalypse mode where Hit Chance is heavily nerfed.
Ignore Defense 1% Against enemies with high defense, this can be more efficient than an Attack orange bonus.
Hit Chance 0.5% Increases Hit chance. Good if your accuracy is too low to hit the enemy and your hit chance is not maxed yet (90%).
Dodge Chance 0.5% Increases Dodge chance. If the enemy hits hard and your evasion is too low, try capping this.
Stun Chance 0.5% Increases Stun Chance. Only use this in Defend Mission .
Evasion 1.5% Increases Evasion. Use this when trying to get a Neon Skin from Hardcore Apocalypse mode Triangle Hideout .
Damage Taken -0.5% Decreases damage taken. If you need more of this stat, it's generally better to get it from the Overpowered Tanker skill.
Defense 1% Increases your Defense Power. Generally, Attack is better as you just want to kill what's in front of you as fast as possible.
Attack Speed 1.5% Increases Attack Speed. It's better to get Attack Speed by using armor and weapon enhancers, than wasting an orange bonus slot for this.
Critical Chance 0.5% Increases your Critical Chance. While this stat should be always capped (95%), this orange bonus is horrible for it. Accuracy bonuses are more efficient if you need to cap this.
Critical Damage 1.5% Increases Critical Damage%. You should have enough of this from your armor stats and enhancements. Useful to mine slightly faster in Apocalypse Mode.
Mana Eater 150 mana Gives MP when you kill something. There's also a skill for this, both are arguably useless.
Poison Chance 1% Increases Poison Chance. Get this stat from the skill, don't waste an orange bonus slot for this.
Weaken Chance 1% Increases Weaken Chance. Get this stat from the skill, don't waste an orange bonus slot for this.
Blind Chance 1% Increases Blind Chance. Get this stat from the skill, don't waste an orange bonus slot for this.
Reflect 50% Increases Reflect Damage%. One of the most useless stats in the game.
HP 1% Increases Max HP. Armor usually gives enough of this, and since the extra HP% from armor stacks additively with the one from orange bonuses, getting this from bonuses is sub-optimal.
HP Regen 50% Increases HP Regen.
MP Regen 25% Increases MP Regen.
Drain 1 Increases Drain Level.


Purple Bonuses
Bonus Per Tier^2 Note
Attack Power 4 Increases your Attack Power. Arguably the best purple bonus. If in doubt, use this.
Defense Power 6 Increases your Defense Power. Almost always you want offense over defense in this game, rendering this bonus useless.
Equipment Attack 0.1 Increases your Equip ATT stat. The Attack Power purple bonus is usually better, but since damage dealt depends on the product of Attack Power and Equipment Attack, a mix of both can be better, especially in situations where your weapon has low Attack, such as AURA.
Equipment Defense 0.15 Increases your Equip DEF stat. Almost always you want offense over defense in this game, rendering this bonus useless.
MaxMP 100 Increases MaxMP stat. Great with Mana Power. Get this if you will be using Mana Power (arguable in Worst Moon or Apocalypse modes).
MaxHP 100 Increases MaxHP stat. The extra HP from armor is usually enough, making this an useless bonus.
Accuracy 4 Increases Accuracy. Since every 1,000 accuracy give you an extra 1% critical chance and because accuracy is not nerfed in Worst Moon/Apocalypse, this bonus is great for these modes.
Evasion 6 Increases Evasion. Use this when trying to get a Neon Skin from Hardcore Apocalypse mode Triangle Hideout .
EXP/Boss Kill 2 Increases base EXP per Boss Kill. (Caps at 1 time the base experience given by the monster.)
EXP/Rare Kill 1 Increases base EXP per Rare Kill. (Caps at 2 times the base experience given by the monster.)
EXP/Epic Kill 10 Increases base EXP per Epic Kill. (Caps at 4.8 times the base experience given by the monster.)

[S], [I] and [S] [I] Bonus Rocks

[S] Bonus Rocks have a yellow [S] symbol and can be used almost all items, even finalized items and those tagged with "Ignore Bonus Rocks". [I] Bonus Rocks have a red infinity symbol and can be used infinite times, but cannot be used on finalized items and those tagged with "Ignore Bonus Rocks". [S] [I] Bonus Rocks work as an infinite [S] Bonus Rock and are great to have, as you eventually want to finalize all of your equipment.

Getting [S], [I] and [S] [I] Bonus Rocks is quite hard. If the enemy is level 9001, then when a Bonus Rock drops there is a:

  • 1% chance of getting an [S] [I] Bonus Rock if you are in Hardcore Apocalypse mode.
  • Otherwise, there is a 1% chance of getting an [I] Bonus Rock if you are in Hardcore Worst Moon mode.
  • Otherwise, there is a 1% chance of getting an [I] Bonus Rock if you are in Apocalypse mode.
  • Otherwise, there is a 1% chance of getting an [S] Bonus Rock if you are in Worst Moon mode.

Other sources for [S] and [S] [I] Bonus Rocks are crates.

  • Apocalypse crates have a 0.015% of giving a purple [S] [I] Bonus Rock.
  • Pixelated Mystery Boxes have a 4% chance of giving a purple [S] Bonus rock for Armors or Weapons.
  • Pixelated Mystery Boxes have a 19,6% chance of giving a green [S] Bonus rock for Armors or Weapons.
  • Pixelated Mystery Boxes have a 19,6% chance of giving an orange [S] Bonus rock for Armors or Weapons.
