Ascension

The player is able to Ascend at Level 9000 or 9001 by killing The Ascendant with Sword of the Ascendant in Ye Olde Pub.
The ascension process let the player reset his Level to 1 (Battle Arena Rank is preserved), and gain some Temporary Perk Points and Permanent Perk Points to speed up progress of future ascensions.
He also gains +10% extra Exp from everything and +100% maximum Boosts per each Ascension, capped at +50% Exp and +500% maximum Boosts.

Ascending is one of the main goals of the game. Once the player has ascended enough to earn 300 temporary perk points, the player will be able to buy the Ultimate Set from the Special Shop, arguably one of the best and most unique sets in the game. As of version 1664f, this number is computed incorrectly (see below).

Ascension Difficulties

There are 3 different difficulties: Medium, Hard and Impossible.
Hard and Impossible ascensions are unlocked when the player completes 5 Medium ascensions.

Depending on the Ascension Difficulty, some Resources may be stored and Features reset through the Ascension until the player reach level 9000 again or rebuy them. At that point, the player gets previously unlocked Features back, and stored Coins are added back to the reserves, this may lead to resource loss if the sum overflow the maximum allowed.

Medium Ascensions

Gives 1 Temporary Perk Points at the start of the ascension and 1 Medium Permanent Perk Point after ascending.
The player keeps everything except his Level is reset to 1.

Hard Ascensions

Gives 3 Temporary Perk Points at the start of the ascension and 1 Hard and Medium Permanent Perk Point after ascending. This counts as 4 points towards the 300 required to obtain Ultimate Armor.

  • All Features from the Feature Shop are locked.
  • The cost and level requirements to buy the Epic Skills feature are increased.
  • All Coins will be stored and unavailable.
  • Boost Generator is reset and maximum Boost upgrade is capped at 2300% (with 300% Dragon Boosts).
  • A minor Accuracy and Damage penalty is applied to Battle Arena.

Impossible Ascensions

Gives 7 Temporary Perk Points at the start of the ascension and 1 Impossible, Hard and Medium Permanent Perk Point after ascending.

  • All Features from the Feature Shop are locked.
  • The cost and level requirements to buy the Epic Skills feature are increased.
  • All Coins will be stored and unavailable.
  • Boost Generator is reset and maximum Boost upgrade is capped at 1900% (with 300% Dragon Boosts).
  • A moderate Accuracy and Damage penalty is applied to Battle Arena.
  • The Garden's Fruit screen is locked until level 3000.
  • Dark Pyramid in Battle Arena is locked until level 1500.
  • Mystery Boxes are locked until level 2000 and the use of Progress Boxes is limited.
  • Awesome Shop is locked until level 3000
  • Business screen is locked until level 3000 (you can't reclaim rewards, but performance increase if one is left active from the previous ascension).
  • Epic License can be purchased only if you have level 6000 or higher and cost is very highly increased.

Progress Box limit

When the player open Progress Boxes during an Impossible ascension, a counter is increased. When the counter reaches 600, he will be unable to open any more Progress Boxes. The counter decreases by 1 each second.

How much the counter increases for each Progress Box, depends on how many he have opened during the current ascension:

Progress Boxes opened Counter increment
up to 500 0
over 500 2
over 2500 10
over 10000 60

How to Ascend

  1. Be Level 9000 or 9001 and Battle Arena Rank 200.
  2. Feed the Dragon of Wisdom at least 200 that day.
  3. Grab and Equip the Sword of Ascendant (Rank 200 is required).
  4. Go to Ye Olde Pub.
  5. Kill The Ascendant.
  6. Chose the next Ascension difficulty (after you ascend 5 times)

Note that there is no death penalty when facing The Ascendant, the player won't lose Battle Arena Exp or Rings.

Perk Points

Ascension Counter

Click the yellow triangle to open the Ascension Perk UI

Ascending gives Perk Points, temporary and permanent ones which can be spend at player's convenience using the interface accessed by clicking the yellow triangle icon above the experience bar, which is obtained after the first ascension.

Temporary perks

Temporary perk points can be used to unlock bonuses that will remain active until the next ascension.

Permanent perk tree

Permanent perk points can be used to unlock permanent perks that will be active in every ascension. There are 36 different permanent perks, but the player is forced to start at one of the corners and follow a connected path to unlock them. They can be reset for free once a day if the player decides to reset them.

Trivia

  • To get the The Ascendant Invisible Ally, he has to be killed in an Impossible Ascension on Hardcore difficulty and Worst Moon mode.
  • The level 3 OCD perk has absolutely no use at all, not even a secret use. It's just there for completionist players.
